Rachel Silvert
Actor ☆ Singer ☆ Storyteller
oh, hello!
RACHEL SILVERT is a Chicago-based actor, singer, storyteller, and novice handicrafter (thanks, COVID). Rachel grew up a ballerina in a theater-loving family in Northbrook, IL, but she never considered acting as a career until she got to college and discovered that nothing was quite as fun and fulfilling as telling stories. She went on to earn her BA in musical theater performance from American University in 2012.
Since moving back to Chicagoland, Rachel has studied at Acting Studio Chicago, Accomplished on Camera, and Second City, and she’s delighted to have worked with such theaters as Lifeline Theater, Oil Lamp Theatre, and Towle, among others. Her one-woman cabaret, Love Songs are Weird, and other reasons I’m single has become a Valentine’s Day tradition.
Rachel works as a Standardized Patient at multiple medical schools in the area, as a Bar Mitzvah tutor, and of course as a server (because, why waste a good cliche, after all?). She spends her free time drinking too much coffee at the dog park with her puppy, Benny, dreaming about her next travel destination, and pretending she’s not afraid of heights during aerial silks class.
Rachel is represented by Promote Talent Agency.

love songs are weird, and other reasons I’m single…
…is a hilarious, and at times happily-ever-after bubble-bursting, adventure trampling through how even the most well-intentioned love song (and honestly, the pursuit of love in general) is strange if you think about it for just a moment too long. Love Songs features songs and stories that bounce between the sardonic and heartfelt, and right back again.
Love Songs are Weird has become a Valentines Day tradition, but the weirdness of love[songs] stands year-round. For information about how to book this show for your special event (bachelorette or divorce party, anyone?) or comedy festival, please fill out the contact form below!
